Luis Enrique Díaz Díaz was born in Puerto Rico and arrived in the mainland in 1984. He has lived in Hawaii, Georgia, and Virginia. His travels include Mexico, Europe, Northern Africa and Korea. He is married and have two grown children and two grandchildren. He came to VCU as a student in 1989-90 and was sponsored as an Adjunct by recommendation of Dr. Manuel Béjar and appointment by Dr. Dvorak. He is an avid motorcyclist and come to work on a motorcycle every day. He has completed several long distance rides like Virginia to San Antonio Texas and the Twenty five states National Parks Tour.
