During her time as a Fulbright student scholar, Ellen plans to join a project at the University of Toronto that is currently investigating the spoken language of dementia and Alzheimer's disease patients. To supplement her research and engage with the community, Ellen hopes to work with young girls in grade school to inspire them to enter the field of computer science. Ellen will return to the U.S. to enroll in a Ph.D. program in natural language processing (computer science), and ultimately further her research and share her passion of linguistic analysis with others.
