Our study abroad information can be found at

VCU Education Abroad works together with the Office of Financial Aid to provide as much financial assistance to you as is allowable by law. All need-based and merit-based aid, with the exception of work-study, can be applied towards the cost of your approved study abroad program.

Study abroad charges are managed by the Study Abroad (Global Education) Office. In some cases, students pay their study abroad institution directly for the cost of the program and, in some cases, the charge will be assessed to the student's VCU bill. Typically, students receive a refund for any financial aid awards at the beginning of the VCU semester. Refunds may be issued prior to the Global Education Office posting the study abroad program charge. If this occurs, students are expected to use the refund to pay towards the VCU bill.

All questions concerning study abroad charges and program billing should be directed to the VCU Global Education Office at or at (804) 828-8471.
