Refund checks are mailed to the student’s permanent address listed in eServices. Refund checks are mailed through the regular postal service, so students should allow ample time for refund checks to be received. If it has been more than two weeks since the refund check was mailed, the student may complete a Stop Payment Request Form. Students should email stuacctg@vcu.edu to request a Stop Payment Request Form or visit the Student Financial Management Center.

Students are encouraged to enroll in direct deposit in order to receive their refunds more quickly. To enroll in direct deposit, students should complete and submit the Direct Deposit Bank Authorization Form to the VCU Disbursement Operations Office. Typically, students enrolled in direct deposit receive their refunds in 5-7 business days after the financial aid or scholarship funds have disbursed (paid towards their bill).

Students who do not participate in direct deposit should allow additional time to receive their refunds, as refund checks are mailed to the student’s permanent address listed in eServices.
