Refunds are awarded based on the timing of when the student withdraws from classes. If you had not yet paid for your classes (i.e., if you are waiting on financial aid or if you are in an established payment plan), then any refunds from dropping classes will appear on your account as a reduction in your Amount Due and may not actually be sent as a monetary refund.

The refund policy for standard classes is based on the weeks of the semester and not the class meeting days (if the semester begins on a Thursday, the first week of classes is from Thursday through the following Wednesday).

For the complete withdrawal/drop refund policy, please visit https://sfs.vcu.edu/billing-and-payments/refunds/drops-and-withdrawals/.

*NOTE: Refunds are NOT offered for the summer semester.
