There are many ways to access libraries' materials, including physical materials, without entering our buildings. We now offer Front Door Pickup at of physical libraries' materials, and we continue to provide access to many e-books and online resources.
VCU faculty, staff and currently enrolled students may now request books, DVDs and other physical items from Cabell Library, Tompkins-McCaw Library and offsite storage to pick up at either location inside the library, or through scheduled, contact-free pickup.
VCU alumni patrons and Friends of VCU Libraries may also schedule a contact-free pickup at either library by creating a guest ILLiad account and submitting a request directly through ILLiad.
*VCUCard holders only: Access to library buildings is currently limited to VCU faculty, staff, and actively enrolled students; users may be asked to show their VCUCard or other approved university identification. Researchers from VCU or other institutions who need access to Special Collections and Archives should schedule an appointment by contacting them at libjbcsca@vcu.edu. Members of Friends of VCU Libraries and registered alumni library patrons can use the front door pickup service to request items from our collections, or contact Antonia Vassar at vassaram@vcu.edu for other needs.
