The Wright Center is committed to providing high-quality, tailored mentorship to early career faculty pursuing clinical and translational research. Wright Center mentors possess a vast array of expertise necessary to support junior faculty. To provide flexible, open access to faculty mentors, the program allows mentees to request mentoring consultation with a mentor of their choice. Good communication is a key element of mentoring relationships. It's critical that mentor and mentees identify characteristics of effective communication and take time to practice communication skills during mentor-mentee meetings. Determine each other’s preferred medium of communication (face-to-face, phone, or email) and acknowledge if it differs from your own personal preference. (courtesy of CIMER)
