Division of Clinical Research

One VCU Clinical Research

The Division of Clinical Research is home to the One VCU Clinical Research Initiative and the C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research.

The One VCU Clinical Research Initiative is an enterprise-wide collaborative led by VCU OVPRI in collaboration with VCU Health toward strengthening clinical research quality, efficiency, and growth capacity. Leading teams across the enterprise, our efforts include providing leadership and strategic planning for high profile clinical research areas, strengthening the FDA Program, expanding opportunities and resources for research teams, and overseeing compliance activities and policy and procedure infrastructure.  This initiative includes the cross-campus Arts in Health Research Program, one of the first in its kind across the country.

The C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research is the scientific and academic home for clinical research.  It is supported by a large NIH center grant in order to advance science and foster partnerships that accelerate translational research for the betterment of human health.  The specific aims of this grant emphasize team science, transformation of scientific discoveries into treatment, and training a new generation of diverse clinical and translational scholars.
