Virginia Cancer Institute

Established in 1981, Virginia Cancer Institute (VCI) is dedicated to the treatment of cancer and blood disorders in Central Virginia. They offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic, therapeutic and treatment services, in six convenient locations.  The VCI team includes 23 physicians and 6 nurse practitioners to meet their patients’ needs.  More recently, VCI expanded its services to include a surgical division called, Virginia Surgical Institute (VSI).  VSI is comprised of 7 surgeons and 1 physician assistant and offers comprehensive surgical care to patients within the Central Virginia area.  The research department at VCI allows them to offer patients state of the art treatment on clinical trials that cover multiple disease sites. Virginia Cancer Institute joined the Massey Clinical Research Affiliation Network in 2013. As part of the MU-NCORP, Virginia Cancer Institute offers NCI cancer clinical trials to their patients.
