Staying connected

Welcome to VCU Alumni! We enter the summer facing a pandemic, and lots of things are up in the air, but in the great tradition of VCU, we’ll prevail.

VCU Alumni welcomes all graduates — no membership dues are required. Our alumni community is more than 200,000 strong with about 8,000 graduates joining the ranks each year. The VCU Alumni Board of Governors and I want to hear from you about how we can be of help in your efforts to support and strengthen the university and to connect and engage with fellow alumni and the rest of the growing VCU community.

Our “one thing” is engagement. How do you want to connect and be involved? We have fellowship events, such as watch parties for Rams basketball, offer career-focused programs and support a network of chapters that do great work. Aside from geographic chapters, we have more than 20 constituent organizations representing academic disciplines, shared interests and identity-based groups. These alumni groups are key partners in the dynamic life of VCU and all are engaged in advancing the university by celebrating the pride and diverse heritage of our university. You can affiliate with one or more of them.

Download the VCU Alumni app today to keep informed on alumni events and activities. We also have an active email communications program and reach out often through social media. Update your contact information to make sure you receive information on the latest alumni news and events.

Welcome to VCU’s diverse and energetic alumni community! Share ideas for activities and events you would like to see offered by emailing

Go Rams!
