Leadership Programs

The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement offers opportunities for leadership development through workshops, activities, off-campus trips, leadership retreats, and more. By creating leadership development opportunities we work to give you the tools to be a successful leader in your personal, academic, and professional lives.

Leadership Resource Lounge

The Leadership Resource Lounge, located in University Student Commons 229, is a collaborative space for VCU students to learn, lead and create. The lounge includes a conference table, TVs with HDMI hookups, and comfortable furniture. Additionally, there is a library with over 100 books to check out and choose from, including identity development, leadership, teamwork, local and global civic engagement, popular leader stories, and team builder equipment and activities. The lounge is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 8 pm.

Transfer Student Leadership

The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement is proud to offer a leadership program specifically for transfer students. Through 7 weekly sessions, this program provides leadership development opportunities and fosters a sense of belonging and ownership as a member of the VCU community. Each cohort will work together with staff to explore their understanding of leadership and gain practical skills for being an exemplary leader.

Registration and information sessions are available on RamsConnect.
