COVID-19 Update: If you have been asked to provide documentation of non-filing status, please note the following:

You must first contact the IRS and request a letter of non-filing status. The number is 1-800-909-9946. If you are unable to get assistance, you can can write a letter stating you did not file a tax return for 2018; if you worked, you can also attach your W2 for 2018 as well. The letter should also state that you attempted to obtain the Non-filers letter, but the IRS is not mailing tax documents, as they are not open at this time.

If you were selected for verification, you can login to your eServices and navigate to the Financial Aid tab to determine what documentation is requested for your account. Look for different statuses below:

  • V1FAS, you will need to go to https://www.verificationgateway.org:8443/inceptia/#/login. We have contracted with Financial Aid Services (FAS) to help you complete verification. FAS is approved by the U.S. Department of Education to work with students and schools to manage the verification process. If you require further assistance or clarification, you can reach Inceptia/FAS directly at 1-888-374-8427.
  • V1IN-D, V1IN-1, V5-D, V5-I and INHOUS you will need to submit the documentation requested directly to the Student Financial Management Center via email or fax. After you submit the required items, please allow up to 10 business days for us to review the documents and continue processing your aid application.
  • V1ADMT - you have been admitted but have not yet accepted the offer of admission. Once you have accepted your offer of admission, your requirements will be updated.

Newly admitted students: once you have accepted your offer of admission, in 3-5 business days you will receive email correspondence with instructions.

Forms that may not need to go through the financial aid services can be found here.

You can submit verification documents via the following methods:
