HyeonUk holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy from Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. His research focuses on (a) performance development and management of local government programs and employees in both the U.S. and in Korea; (b) leadership and its role in the public sector; and (c) public employees’ organizational behavior and theory. One of his works is published in the International Journal of Public Sector Performance Management which examined the role of emotional labor among a variety of public service employees at the local level and the influence it had on their performance and job satisfaction. He also has several papers currently under review or have received Revise and Resubmit in reputable journals. HyeonUk studies public administration and policy to help other people, contribute to society, and improve the world with his knowledge.
