Grade Review and Appeal

A dirt road splits through an agricultural landscape. To the left of the road, the landscape is green but to the right the landscape is dry with bales of hay. [View Image]

Common reasons students dispute a grade given by the School of World Studies:

  • Attendance: though the attendance requirements may vary widely from one course to another, students must abide by the requirements specified on the course syllabus

  • Clerical error

  • Late submission of work

  • Miscalculation: error in grade computation

  • An Americans with Disabilities Act reasonable accommodation letter was issued on behalf of the student but the accommodation was not made

  • Technical difficulties

Please see the official VCU grade review procedures for more information.
