When will library buildings reopen, and what will the hours be?

Building and services hours may be subject to change as the semester progresses. Library buildings reserve the right to limit building access to VCU card holders.

VCU CARDHOLDERS ONLY: To provide priority use to students, faculty and staff, users may be asked to show VCUCards to enter library buildings. Cardholding alumni and members of the Friends of VCU Libraries who receive new cards each year when they renew their membership may not access the library, however, they can use the front door pickup service to request items from our collections.

Can I borrow books, media, or creative equipment from the libraries without entering the buildings?

You can request books, DVDs, scores, CDs, etc. from our physical collections through our expanded delivery service and new Front Door Pickup service.

Multimedia and creative equipment are available to checkout from inside the building.

What can I expect when I visit the libraries?

When will Starbucks be open?

Tentatively, Starbucks plans to reopen on August 10.

When will the IT Support Center reopen?

The IT Support Center plans to reopen with limited hours on August 10. For more information visit, which will be updated as more information becomes available.
