Research description

One part of my research is focused on defining the role of the increased level of reactive nitrogen (RNS) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) in maintaining of genomic instability and stimulation of carcinogenesis during chronic inflammation. This work revealed the mechanism of RNS/ROS-dependent downregulation of BRCA1 protein - the critical member of the DNA homologous recombination repair. Most recently, my research has focused on the exosomal miRNAs as bio-marker of: 1) Sensitivity to radiation therapy (RT), 2) Post-RT side effects, and 3) Post-RT recurrence of different types of tumors.
