My lab is interested in the field of mechanotherapeutics: therapies that target the structure of the desmoplastic extracellular matrix. My lab is particularly interested in disrupting assembly of the extracellular matrix protein fibronectin, which is assembled into viscoelastic fibrils in the matrix and plays a prominent role in promoting tumor growth and metastasis.
