Research description

My program of interdisciplinary research is focused on molecular methods development and identification of epigenetic markers to improve risk assessment and develop targeted therapies for multiple breast cancer subtypes. I am currently the PI on a Biological Basis of Cancer Disparities Award to investigate ancestry markers as predictors of gene expression differences and clinical outcomes in triple negative breast cancer. I'm also a PI on an R01 investigating epigenetic and genetic drivers of COMT gene expression in both brain and non CNS solid tumors.
