Research description

My active research is predominately associated with molecular profiling in human gliomas. I have several ongoing collaborative projects with clinical and basic scientists. The most developed of these projects includes: Expression of the Wilms Tumor-1 gene (WT1 ), CD97, and downstream moieties in malignant gliomas and the role of metadherin/AEG-1 in development and progression of human gliomas. Additionally, I am collaborating with Dr. Suyun Huang (VCU) on her projects entitled Epigenetic Modulation of WnUBeta-catenin Pathway and Tumorigenesis of Glioma Cells by KDM4C as well as Interplay between ubiquitination and epigenetic regulation of EGFR signaling in gliomagenesis.
