Research description

CtBP is a transcriptional co-regulator frequently overexpressed and associated with worse outcome in solid tumor cancers. CtBP upregulation leads to the expression of oncogenes and the transcriptional repression of tumor suppressor genes, helping to drive the development and spread of cancer. We have discovered a small molecule inhibitors of CtBP, which we call HIPP, and are currently working to translate HIPP from an early stage lead into a potential oncology therapy.
