      Do I need to sign a contract?

      No, local service is automatically provided and will already be connected when you arrive.

      What features are available?

      Numeric Caller ID, Call Forwarding, Three-way Calling, Call Waiting, Tone Block and 5-digit campus dialing are all included with the local telephone service.

      Do I bring my own phone?

      Yes, you need to bring your own telephone.  You will need one with Caller ID capability, or separate Caller ID equipment, if you want to utilize this feature.  You may want to bring an answering machine.  While voice mail was previously provided by VCU it was discontinued due to lack of interest.

      How long does it take to connect my service?

      Your telephone line will be activated when you arrive and you will be able to make calls immediately.
