Audio Conferencing Services
VCU now offers access to Virginia Information Technologies Agency's audio voice and data conferencing, an enhanced, interactive audio and data conferencing service. This service provides more reliable, flexible and easy-to-use functions. It supports voice and data conferencing that can include slides, Web tours, application sharing and other features.

- You will receive an email with your account information and complete instructions for using the system.
- You will also receive a Conferencing Card with your account information.
- Use the system as often as you like. Charges only apply for usage.
- Usage will be billed on your monthly phone bill.
Reservationless conferencing gives you on-demand conferencing allowing you to initiate a conference 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – without the need to make a reservation. Holding a conference is as simple as dialing a permanent number and entering a conference code. All U.S. participants dial a toll-free, 866 number to access a conference. VITA's Reservationless Conferencing service offers a variety of features to customize your conference in addition to providing quick access to your call. Operator Assisted Conferencing
VITA's Operator Assisted service combines personal touch with our feature-rich conferencing service. With a wide range of features and enhancements, it’s easy to customize your conference. Our expert operators manage all the details so you can concentrate on delivering your message. Dozens of options are available to record, broadcast, schedule and administer your meetings. Example: One host and 3 remote participants (each with their own connection) hold a reservationless call. The charge is 5.2 cents times 4 participants = 20.8 cents per minute. (Reservationless audio conferencing is the service that likely will be used most often).|
|Operator Assisted Data and Audio Conferencing||An enhanced service that permits reservations to be made up to 30 minutes prior to the event and can accommodate up to 10,000 participants||
Approximately 20.6 cents per minute, per participant*. Example: One host and 3 remote participants (each with their own connection) hold an operator assisted call. The charge is 20.6 cents per minute times 4 participants = 82.4 cents per minute.
* No show charges apply when a conference of more than 500 is scheduled, and ‘no shows’ exceed a 10% buffer. The no show fee applies to ‘no shows’ beyond the 10% (no charges for the first 10% of ‘no shows’). To avoid no show fees, please only schedule conferences above 500 when you are confident in attendance figures.
