QuestionPro Login


The QuestionPro online survey tool is made available free of charge by the Office of the Provost and VCU Technology Services. An Academic Enterprise Site License has been acquired, which provides the same features as the corporate version. QuestionPro may only be used to house Non-public (Category II) or Public (Category III) data. QuestionPro may not house confidential and sensitive (Category I) data. The only survey tool available at VCU designated to house Category I data is REDCap.  

QuestionPro is available for use by all current faculty, staff, students, and VCUHS employees. You must apply for an account to gain access the acadamic version of QuestionPro.


It is the user's responsibility to comply with all VCU policies and guidelines. If you are collecting data for human subjects research, review and approval of the project are required by the Institutional Review Board.


Access to QuestionPro

VCU has two types of QuestionPro users, those using a VCU Gmail email and users with another VCU email account. You must establish an account with QuestionPro using your VCU email to gain access to the VCU QuestionPro Academic Enterprise system. Follow the steps listed below to properly gain access to the VCU QuestionPro Academic Enterprise site license. 

First-time User QuestionPro - Setup an Account

If you are a first-time user, you must review the data collection policies before you establish an account with QuestionPro. In the event, you need to store and collect confidential and sensitive (Category I) data you need to use REDCap. The storage and collect confidential or sensitive (Category I) data within QuestionPro is grounds for account termination.

Step 1 - Review the VCU Guidelines and Policies

As a user of QuestionPro, you are required to review the guidelines listed below and electronically agree that you abide by the policies.

  1. Only collect data that are not designated as confidential and sensitive (Category 1)
  2. Review the data in the VCU Data Classification Tool
  3. Comply with all VCU policy and guidelines
  4. Obtain an Institutional Review Board review and approval, if your data is collected for human subjects research
  5. Create only one account for your use

Step 2 - Create a QuestionPro Account

  1. Click QuestionPro Account Creation to go to the QuestionPro account creation web page.
  2. Use any non-VCU password you desire. You will not need to remember this password after you register for an account. VCU CAS will provide authentication after you account has been created.

QuestionPro Return User

After creationg a QuestionPro account, you will have access to the VCU QuestionPro Academic Enterprise system. 

Login to QuesionPro:

  1. Click QuestionPro LoginThe button appears at top of the page for your convenience.

  2. QuestionPro will automatically open if you have authenticated through VCU CAS via MyVCU, VCU Google Gmail or another CAS-authenticated site.

  3. If you have not yet authenticated through CAS, enter your VCU eID and password, which will provide you entry into QuestionPro as a University Site User.

  4. To confirm that you are logged in as a University Site User, scroll down to the bottom of the screen. University Site User will appear at the bottom right corner of the screen. If you don't see it, contact the and ask that you need access to the VCU QuestionPro Enterprise site.
