VCU Loaner Chromebook App Installation Instructions

Step 1. Sign In

Before using most applications on a VCU Loaner Chromebook, you must sign into your VCU email account:

  1. Navigate to the sign-in screen
  2. Select Add Person
  3. Enter your full VCU email address, i.e. ramrt@vcu.edu
  4. Select G Suite account
  5. Enter your eID and password to finish signing in

 

Step 2. Install the Application

If you do not already see the application associated with your account on the device, you will need to add it:

Respondus Lockdown Browser

  1. Open the Chrome browser
  2. Go to go.vcu.edu/respondus
  3. Select the Student tab
  4. Click the link for ChromeOS
  5. Click Add to Chrome
  6. Once the App is installed, navigate to your Canvas course
  7. Navigate to the quiz and click Take the Quiz
  8. Respondus will automatically open, and you may take the quiz

Zoom

  1. Open the Chrome browser
  2. Go to vcu.zoom.us
  3. Select Test
  4. Click Install
  5. Once the App is installed and open, click Sign In
  6. Click Sign in with SSO
  7. Enter vcu as the domain and click Continue
  8. Login with CAS

Wireless Presentation at Cabell Library

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store app
  2. Search for Kramer VIA
  3. Install the app
  4. Open the app and provide the Room Name displayed on the screen in your study space
  5. Enter a nickname (it can be anything) and click Login
  6. When prompted, enter the Room Code also displayed on the screen in your study space
